Seashell Gown in Malibu

I love colliding my different art forms. In this collaboration with LA Native Beauty, Model Paulina Breanne, and Crista Ekstrand, I am showcasing not only my new Seashell beaded crochet gown but also my hair styling artistry.

I have 11+ years of experience working in the wedding industry and have contributed everything from music to chandelier making. I love working with brides to help them look and feel like their best selves on their wedding day. Whether I am designing a gown, creating a hairstyle, or both, I want her to feel comfortable and effortlessly beautiful.

Recently I have combined forces with one of LA’s best makeup artists, Veronica Sinclair.

V and I have worked together for red-carpet events, film and photo shoot sets, and weddings. We named our duo LA Native Beauty because we are both LA-born and raised. We are inspired by our natural habitat- the streets, beaches, and canyons of Los Angeles. We are here for the SoCal brides who want to bring out their natural beauty and embrace their style.

Crista Ekstrand beautifully captured these sunkissed moments overlooking the shores of Malibu, California. She captured the golden light as the sun set over the mountains with the blue ocean below.

I shocked Instagram by partially unraveling and cutting into a finished Edith Dress. The Dress was too long and I wanted to add a slit. My followers forgave me when they saw the newly altered dress with a ruffled slit down the front. I then added hundreds of seashells, pearls, and beads to the dress. It was a very time-consuming process as the seashells tend to get tangled in the yarn but the finished result was well worth it.
